A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches

A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches
That’s the book. Yep.

Well, Tyler Kord really outdid himself this time. He outdid himself with this book only in the fact that I have not read anything about what he has done up to this point. This cookbook is visually striking and rife with humor. Hannah gave this book to me for Christmas and I could not be happier. From the foreword written by Name Here to the names of the sandwiches (Don’t Cry for me Argentina is a perfect name) to the humor throughout, it’s hard to put this book down. Each passage has some cooking wisdom, some humor, and a really great recipe that’s going to be extremely hard to make. Here’s what I have to say about A Super Upsetting Cookbook About Sandwiches.

What I plan to do with the book

I want to make its sandwiches. But more to the point, I want to get better at understanding what makes a good sandwich. The meat that you should use, or lack thereof. Sauces, which are my favorite part. I want to learn what Muchim is (Seriously, the book tells me, but I’m still confused). I want to push myself in the limits of my cooking power, because I’m getting really tired of BLTs, one of the easiest sandwiches to make. I also have a secret motive that I ask you not tell anyone. I want to make Tyler Kord happy. I don’t know this man whatsoever; I hadn’t even heard of him before this book. All I know if that I now want to make him happy. It is one of my life goals. So please, if you know him, tell him to wait to read this blog for a little bit, because I’m going to mess it up. Also, I will likely use other recipes, so I don’t want him to get hurt.

Muchim, I think.
Is this Muchim? Please Tyler, tell me!

How the blogs will look

I’m very excited to review sandwiches, but I want you to know that I have no idea how to review anything. I never went to school for it. I’m even assuming there is a school for it. Probably one with really snooty teachers who never give As. My brain really just says “good” or “not good” when it comes to food, but I’m still going to take a crack at it. I’m going to let you know how hard it was for me to make a sandwich, but how it tasted so good once I was done. I’m going to let you know about the restaurants that make sandwiches for me and how appreciative I am of them. I’m even going to start debates on sandwiches. I’m very excited for the talks on tacos and hot dogs. But through it all, my love of sandwiches will shine through.

Send me Your Stuff

I want to make everything under the sun. Almost every culture has a sandwich that defines it. Almost every person has a favorite sandwich. I want to know what all of those are. Send them to me. Send me your thoughts if you make a sandwich that I make. Let me know if I’m doing something wrong, which is going to be often. I want to know and I want to hear from you, so please. Live the good sandwich life and let me know what you think.
